Switch from Supermetrics if your stack is small and stable: the per-source, per-user and per-destination pricing that justifies 300-plus connectors for a growing agency just adds line items you don't need for three or four accounts. Getting the advertised rate also means prepaying annually, and several long-time customers report their bill roughly doubling to tripling within a couple of years. We priced five alternatives against their live vendor pages to find out which ones actually cost less for a smaller stack.
Why look for a Supermetrics alternative?
Supermetrics bills sources, users and destinations as separate line
items. Starter runs €49 a month for 3 sources, 1 destination and 1 user, and each additional
source, seat or destination adds cost on top of that base rate. Locking in the discounted price
also means prepaying annually; staying month-to-month costs more per month than the advertised
figure. That structure rewards an agency running a long client roster across many platforms,
where 300-plus connectors earn their keep. It rewards a small, stable stack a lot less. Several
long-time Supermetrics customers report their bill roughly doubling or tripling over a couple of
years without a matching jump in features, which is worth knowing before you sign an annual
contract to get the lower rate.
How we compared them
We read each tool’s live pricing page, plan comparison and documentation against the same
rubric, in October 2026, the same week we re-verified Supermetrics’ own numbers. We didn’t trial
any of these five hands-on; every price and feature claim below traces back to what the vendor
publishes. Full method: how we test. The same figures sit alongside dozens of
other audited tools in the Pricing Gap Index, and the wider six-tool field,
including Power My Analytics, is in our
marketing reporting connector roundup.
Windsor.ai: flat pricing with attribution built in
Pick Windsor.ai if a predictable bill matters more than the deepest connector list, or if
multi-touch attribution modeling (first-click, last-click, linear, Markov, algorithmic) is
actually on your to-do list; it ships on every plan instead of needing a separate tool. Full
review. It falls short on refresh speed for a tight budget. Hourly sync
needs the $118 Standard tier, and 15-minute sync only unlocks on the $598 Professional plan.
Coupler.io: the only free plan with real data
Coupler.io earns its spot on real data. The free plan moves one real account into one
destination, not a sample dashboard, so you can confirm a connector pulls the right fields
before a card gets charged. Full review. Once your client roster grows
past a handful of accounts, though, the $5.99-a-month per-account add-on catches up faster than
a flat-rate tool would.
Porter Metrics: the cheapest way into Looker Studio
If your whole stack already reports into Looker Studio, Sheets, BigQuery or Power BI and you’re
only running a handful of accounts, Porter Metrics is the cheapest way in. Solo starts at $14.99
a month, and the free plan covers 3 accounts with no expiration date. Full
review. Step outside the mainstream ad and analytics stack, though, and
the gap shows up fast. At around 50 connectors, Porter’s library is a fraction of Supermetrics’
300-plus.
Databox: the dashboard comes built in
Databox solves a different problem. The goal here is a live KPI dashboard, not a data pipe
someone still has to turn into a report later. Templates, goal tracking and alerts come built in, and the
free plan includes an actual dashboard, not just a connection. Full review. A
team that already has a Looker Studio or warehouse dashboard built should skip it; you’d be
paying for a BI layer nobody touches.
Funnel.io: costs more, not less
Funnel.io only pencils out once you’re already running ad spend across dozens of platforms and
need a governed warehouse feed more than a lower bill. Business starts at $600 a month for 579
connectors and 26 export destinations. Full review. Skip it if saving money
is the whole point. Starter alone costs $300 a month with no export destination included, and
Flexpoints usage billing tends to push real invoices toward four figures a month.
What Supermetrics still does better
Connector breadth is the one place none of these five fully catch up. Supermetrics
covers 300-plus sources spanning paid media, organic social, SEO tools, ecommerce, CRM data and
affiliate networks, and reviewers, including non-technical marketers, consistently rate its
setup and connector reliability highly. The AI credits bundled into every paid tier, not only
the top one, add query-level summaries most of these alternatives skip entirely. If your account
list is genuinely long and reaches platforms outside the mainstream ad stack, that depth is
still the reason agencies default to Supermetrics first.
Is there a free Supermetrics alternative?
Supermetrics itself has no permanent free plan, only a 14-day trial with no card required. Four
of the five alternatives here do: Windsor.ai’s Forever Free tier (1 source, 1 user, no
expiration), Coupler.io’s free plan (1 account, 1 destination, manual refresh, 100 rows per
run), Porter Metrics’ free tier (3 connected accounts, every destination and feature, no
expiration), and Databox’s free plan (3 data sources, 1 user, 1 dashboard). Funnel.io is the one
exception. Like Supermetrics, it has no free tier at all.
Which one should you pick?
- Solo marketer or two-person shop, Looker Studio only: Porter Metrics,
from $14.99 a month, or the free plan if 3 accounts covers it.
- Growing team that wants one predictable bill as headcount rises: Windsor.ai,
from $23 a month with unlimited users on every tier.
- Team that wants to test a connector before paying for it: Coupler.io’s
free plan, then $32 a month once you outgrow it.
- Team that wants a finished dashboard instead of raw piped data: Databox,
from $64 a month, free plan included.
- Agency or marketing org already running spend across dozens of platforms: stay on
Supermetrics for the connector breadth, or move to
Funnel.io once a governed warehouse feed matters more than price. Our
Supermetrics vs Funnel.io comparison covers that trade-off in detail.
- Destination is Looker Studio only: our Looker Studio connectors guide
prices every option here for a three-source stack.
