For vendors
How partner listings work on ToolsGavel
ToolsGavel publishes independent, pricing-audited reviews of marketing, sales and AI business tools. Vendors often ask how to be covered and what a partnership involves. The rules below apply to every listing, whether the vendor approached us or we picked the tool ourselves.
The three rules
- The review comes first, and it is independent. We read the live pricing page and billing terms, score every tool against the same public rubric (how we test), and vendors cannot pay for a score, a position in a guide, or a softer verdict.
- The affiliate link follows publication. Where a vendor runs an affiliate program, our tracked link goes on the page only after the review is live, and it never changes what the review says. Readers see the relationship on every page: affiliate disclosure.
- Every partner listing includes the kit. After publication we send a "Reviewed on ToolsGavel" badge, a quotable one-line verdict and a link to the review, and the partner features it on their press, resources or pricing page as part of the listing. That placement is what turns a review into referral traffic for both sides. It has no bearing on the score: the rubric has no field for it.

Independently price-verified by ToolsGavel.
A normal link is all we ask for; no special attributes are needed. Deep-link to your own review page rather than our homepage so readers land on the audit that mentions you.
Requesting a review
Email [email protected] with your pricing page, any plan limits that are not public (seats, sources, refresh frequency, overage pricing) and your affiliate program details. We cover a fixed set of categories, so a request does not guarantee coverage, and the audit takes the time it takes. If the tool holds up against what we already cover, it earns a place in the relevant guide on merit.
Questions vendors ask
Can we pay to be featured or to move up a list?
No. Placement in a guide follows the audit, and we review tools that pay us nothing when they are the honest answer.
What if the review is critical?
It stays published. If a fact is wrong, send the source and we re-verify against the live page; corrections are dated on the review. Pricing changes get the same treatment, which is why our audits carry a "last verified" date.
Does featuring the badge change the score?
No. The badge is part of the listing, not part of the audit. The rubric does not have a field for it, and a listing without the badge is scored exactly the same way.
