Weld review
A warehouse-first data pipeline with SQL modeling, metered on monthly active rows and aimed at data teams more than marketers
Unpaid review. We currently earn nothing if you sign up for Weld — links here go straight to the vendor. We review it anyway because it's the honest answer, and scores never depend on commissions — how we test.
ToolsGavel verdict
Weld is a credible ELT tool, but it is a data-team product with a $99 floor, not a cheap Supermetrics replacement. It makes sense if you already have a warehouse and want modeling in the same place. We rate it from published pricing and vendor claims only: independent review data was too thin to verify.
Best for: Teams that already run, or are ready to run, a data warehouse such as BigQuery or Snowflake and want ELT plus SQL modeling in one tool
What we liked
- Published flat MAR tiers and a 14-day full-access trial with no credit card make the entry cost easy to test (weld.app/pricing)
- Weld lists 300+ sources, and Premium adds custom connectors, a REST API and dbt integration (weld.app)
- SQL editor, AI Transform and SSO are included from the $99 Basic tier (weld.app/pricing)
- Weld's own blog cites a 4.8 G2 score from about 110 reviews in November 2026; we could not open G2 to confirm it (weld.app/blog)
- The product is actively maintained, with an MCP server and a Claude connector directory listing in September 2026 (weld.app/blog)
What to watch
- The $99/mo annual floor is above every alternative in our Supermetrics guide except Funnel.io's $300, and Basic allows only 2 connector types, 1 destination and daily sync (weld.app/pricing)
- Google Sheets works as a source or a reverse-ETL target, so a warehouse is needed; Weld is not a direct ads-to-Sheets pipe (weld.app/connectors/google-sheets)
- Weld's homepage now targets data teams and AI agents, and its own compare page says DashThis is better for marketing reports and dashboards (weld.app)
- Row-based metering is harder to forecast than per-account pricing, and the counting rules change on 2027-01-01 for existing accounts (weld.app/pricing)

Weld is a Copenhagen-based data pipeline tool that moves data from SaaS sources into a warehouse, then lets you model it with SQL and dbt. Compared with Supermetrics, it is built for people who want a warehouse as the center of their reporting, not for marketers who want ad data in a spreadsheet by tonight.
Who Weld fits
Weld suits a team that already has BigQuery, Snowflake or a similar warehouse, or is ready to set one up, and wants ingestion and transformation in one product. Our research could not confirm how deep its Meta, Google Ads or GA4 connectors go, so test those during the 14-day trial before committing to an annual plan.
Who should skip it
If your reports live in Looker Studio or Google Sheets and you run a handful of ad accounts, cheaper tools in the Supermetrics alternatives guide fit better. See also the marketing reporting connector roundup.
Pricing note: Checked on Weld's pricing page on 2026-11-08. Weld meters on Monthly Active Rows (MAR). Basic is $99/mo billed annually ($119 monthly, per Weld's FAQ) for 5M-20M MAR, 1 user, 2 connector types, 1 destination and daily sync. Premium is $389/mo billed annually for 10M-40M MAR, 3 users, 6 connector types and hourly sync. Business is $959/mo, annual only, for 50M-200M MAR, 5 users and 15-minute sync. Enterprise is a custom quote. Extra capacity costs $49/mo per additional 5M MAR on Basic and $19 per extra user. Weld says accounts created before 2026-10-19 move to newer MAR counting rules on 2027-01-01, which count subtables and add 50% of active rows per extra ELT destination. There is no permanent free plan, only a 14-day trial with full access and no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Weld cost?
Basic is $99/mo billed annually, or $119 monthly per Weld's FAQ, for 5M-20M monthly active rows, 1 user, 2 connector types and daily sync. Premium is $389/mo, Business is $959/mo billed annually, and Enterprise is a custom quote. Extra rows, users and connectors cost more on every tier. Prices checked 2026-11-08.
Does Weld have a free plan?
No. Weld offers a 14-day trial with full access and no credit card, then you move to a paid plan.
Can Weld send data straight to Google Sheets?
Not as a normal destination. Sheets works as a source, or as a reverse-ETL target from your warehouse, so you need a warehouse such as BigQuery or Snowflake in the middle. Supermetrics and Coupler.io can write to Sheets directly.
Is Weld a good Supermetrics alternative?
Only for warehouse-first teams. Weld covers 300+ sources and adds SQL modeling, but it costs more than Windsor.ai, Coupler.io or Porter Metrics to start and is built for data teams. For a small marketing stack that reports into Looker Studio or Sheets, those tools are a better fit. See our Supermetrics alternatives guide.
What changes for Weld pricing in 2027?
Weld says accounts created before 2026-10-19 move to newer MAR counting rules on 2027-01-01. Subtables count toward rows, history-table rows count at 50%, and each extra ELT destination adds 50% of active rows. New sign-ups are already on these rules.
Bottom line
Weld is a credible ELT tool, but it is a data-team product with a $99 floor, not a cheap Supermetrics replacement. It makes sense if you already have a warehouse and want modeling in the same place. We rate it from published pricing and vendor claims only: independent review data was too thin to verify.
