Landing page builder with AI page creation and built-in conversion testing
ToolsGavel verdict
These two cost about the same at the entry level if Leadpages's FAQ prices apply (its pricing cards show half), so the choice is about what your page has to do. ClickFunnels takes more of the rows we compared, because it bundles checkout, email, courses and automations that Leadpages leaves to other tools. That does not make it the default pick. Leadpages is the better fit for landing pages and lead generation: it is faster to learn and adds A/B testing and unlimited traffic without extra fees. ClickFunnels is the better fit for selling products, courses or coaching with upsells. Pick Leadpages to collect leads. Pick ClickFunnels to run the whole sale.
Which one should you pick?
Choose Leadpages if…
- You need landing pages, popups and lead forms for ads or local-service marketing, and you already have an email tool.
- You want A/B testing on a plan around $50 a month on the pricing card ($99 per its FAQ), with no visitor caps.
- You would rather learn one builder than a platform with email, courses and automations.
Choose ClickFunnels if…
- You sell a digital product, course or coaching and want order bumps and one-click upsells inside the funnel.
- You want pages, email, checkout and courses in one login instead of stitching tools together.
- You plan to grow to several brands or a team, since its tiers add workspaces and seats.
| Criterion | ClickFunnels | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | Grow shows $50/mo on the pricing card ($40/mo billed annually, 20% off). The same page's FAQ still says $99/mo, so confirm at checkout | Launch is $97/mo, or $81/mo billed annually |
| Mid and top tiers | Optimize shows $100/mo on the card ($80/mo annual; FAQ says $199). Scale has no card now; the FAQ still lists it at $399/mo | Scale $197/mo, Optimize $297/mo, Dominate $5,997/yr (annual only) |
| What you build | Landing pages, popups, alert bars and multi-page sites aimed at lead capture | Full sales funnels with order forms, one-click upsells, order bumps, stores and courses |
| Traffic and pages | Unlimited pages and unlimited traffic on every core plan | Unlimited funnels, pages and visitors on every plan (unlimited funnels is labeled a limited-time offer) |
| Email and contacts | No built-in email marketing listed on its features page; relies on integrations (5 active on Grow, 10 on Optimize) | Built-in email: 10K contacts and 50K emails a month on Launch, up to 400K contacts on Dominate |
| Payments | Stripe checkout directly on your pages | Payments AI, with Stripe and PayPal connected through it; no extra ClickFunnels fee on top of processor rates |
| A/B testing | Manual A/B on Grow (6 variants per page); Optimize adds multivariate testing, Smart Traffic (AI routing) and click and scroll heatmaps | Split testing on funnel steps and in email workflows; its pricing page does not say which plans include it |
| Simplicity | One job, short learning curve, AI Engine drafts a page from a description | Many apps (funnels, email, courses, stores, automations), so more to learn and set up |
| Trial and refund | 7-day trial, card required, converts on day 7 | Free trial (14 days per its page markup) plus a 30-day money-back guarantee |

Which is better, Leadpages or ClickFunnels?
It depends on what the page does. If it collects leads, pick Leadpages: it builds the landing pages that turn ad and search clicks into leads, and you can learn it in an afternoon. If it sells products, courses or coaching, pick ClickFunnels, which adds checkout, upsells, email and courses to the page.
At the FAQ prices, little separates them: ClickFunnels Launch is $97 a month and Leadpages Grow is $99. On the Leadpages pricing card Grow is $50. The real question is whether you need a page or a sale.
What is the difference between a funnel and a landing page?
A landing page is one page with one job. A visitor arrives, reads your offer and fills in a form. A funnel is a chain: an opt-in page, a sales page, an order form, an upsell offer and a thank-you page, with each step reached from the one before.
Leadpages is built around the single page. It makes landing pages, popups, alert bars with countdown timers, and multi-page sites. Its features page says you can accept payments with Stripe directly on a page, and it does not name upsells, order bumps or courses as features.
ClickFunnels is built around the chain. Its features page lists order forms, checkout pages, tripwire funnels, one-click upsells, one-time offers and order form bumps. It also has apps for email, courses, stores and automations. You can build a plain landing page in ClickFunnels, since landing pages are included on every plan, but you carry the weight of a platform you may not need.
How much do Leadpages and ClickFunnels cost?
At the entry level they cost about the same if Leadpages’s FAQ prices are the real ones, and Leadpages costs about half if its pricing cards are. Higher up, each plan buys different things.
| Tier | Leadpages | ClickFunnels |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Grow $50/mo card, $99 FAQ ($40/mo annual on the card) | Launch $97/mo ($81/mo annual) |
| Middle | Optimize $100/mo card, $199 FAQ ($80/mo annual on the card) | Scale $197/mo ($164/mo annual) |
| Upper | No Scale card; the FAQ still lists $399/mo | Optimize $297/mo ($248/mo annual) |
| Top | None | Dominate $5,997/yr, annual only |
Over a year, ClickFunnels Launch costs $1,164 billed monthly or $972 billed annually. Leadpages Grow costs $600 monthly or $480 annually at the card price, and $1,188 or about $948 at the FAQ price. At the FAQ price neither gap decides anything; at the card price Leadpages is about half.
Leadpages shows two sets of prices. Its pricing cards show $50 for Grow and $100 for Optimize, with annual billing saving 20%, while its FAQ says testing plans start at $99 and lists $99, $199 and $399. The page does not say which set is the recurring price, and the cards may be introductory. Budget from the $99 and $199 figures until checkout confirms the lower ones. Leadpages also sells publishing-only plans, Pro at $15 a month and Business at $25 a month. They publish pages with no A/B testing, so do not compare them with ClickFunnels.
ClickFunnels has its own wrinkle. Its pricing page marks “Unlimited Funnels” as limited time on every plan, and the stated annual savings are a few dollars off the real monthly-versus-annual difference. Read the checkout total, not the badge.
What do you get at the entry plan?
| Leadpages Grow | ClickFunnels Launch | |
|---|---|---|
| Pages | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Traffic | Unlimited | Unlimited visitors |
| Custom domains | 4 | 5 |
| Team seats | 1 | 2 |
| Integrations only (5 active) | 10K contacts, 50K emails a month | |
| Courses and stores | Not listed | 3 course and 3 community areas, 1 store |
| AI | 40,000 credits a month | 1,000,000 words |
| Support | Not published | Standard |
ClickFunnels gives you more for the same money, as long as you use it. If your plan is to send visitors to a form and pass the lead to Mailchimp or a CRM, you will pay for email, courses and a store that sit idle. If your plan is to sell a $197 course with a $27 order bump, the Leadpages price is the better-looking number and the less complete product.
Which is better at A/B testing?
Leadpages states it plainly. Grow includes manual A/B testing with up to six variants per page. Optimize adds multivariate testing, Smart Traffic, which uses AI to route visitors to the best-converting variant, and click and scroll heatmaps. Our Leadpages vs Unbounce page compares those tiers with Unbounce.
ClickFunnels documents split testing too. Its help center describes a variation page next to the original with a slider that sets the traffic split, plus a Split Test step in workflows for things like email subject lines. What we could not confirm is which plans include it. The pricing page lists A/B testing as a feature without a plan-by-plan breakdown, and third-party sources disagree. Ask support before you rely on it.
How do payments and fees work?
ClickFunnels runs payments through Payments AI. Stripe and PayPal connect through it, and the help center says new workspaces do not get a direct Stripe connection by default. Payments AI charges 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction, plus 0.5% for billing, tax and invoicing. The help center says ClickFunnels adds no fees beyond processor rates, and the pricing FAQ says “You’ll keep every penny you make,” which we read as no percentage of sales on top of processing.
Leadpages takes payments through Stripe on the page. We did not find a Leadpages sales fee on the pages we checked, but Stripe’s own rates apply. For a one-page offer that is enough. For upsells, order bumps and recurring billing inside a funnel, ClickFunnels is built for it.
Is ClickFunnels worth it?
Yes, if you sell and want everything in one place. The Launch plan costs about what a good landing page builder costs, and it includes funnels, email, a course area and a store. You also get a 30-day money-back guarantee, and the page markup describes a 14-day free trial before it.
No, if you only need leads. A contractor, a clinic or a consultant who sends ad traffic to a quote form will not use order bumps, courses or a 10K-contact email system. For that job Leadpages does the work with less to learn.
A caution for both: the ClickFunnels trial and Leadpages trial differ. Leadpages gives 7 days, asks for a card and converts to paid on day 7. Set a reminder.
Which should a small business pick?
Pick by what the page does.
- Lead generation for a local or service business: Leadpages. You need a fast page, a form and a headline test.
- A coach, creator or course seller: ClickFunnels. Checkout, upsells and email under one roof save tool-stitching.
- Ecommerce store owner: Probably neither. Both can sell, but a store on a dedicated ecommerce platform usually fits better. ClickFunnels is the nearer fit of the two.
- A paid-traffic specialist who wants only landing pages: Look at Unbounce, Instapage or Landingi before paying for a funnel platform.
So which should you choose?
Start with the question of whether a sale happens on your pages. If it does, start a ClickFunnels trial and build your offer in it. If a lead is the goal, take the 7-day Leadpages trial, build one page and test two headlines. Both let you try before you commit, and ClickFunnels adds a refund window on top.
Not sold on either?
A paid-traffic landing page builder if you decide you only need pages, not full funnels. Our Leadpages vs Unbounce page has the pricing math.
A PPC-focused landing page builder for teams that care about ad-to-page matching more than selling inside the funnel.
A cheaper landing page builder ($24/mo billed annually) with an AI generator, if both of these are more than you need.
Frequently asked questions
Is ClickFunnels worth it?
Yes, if you sell something and want one platform for the funnel. Launch is $97 a month, or $81 a month billed annually, and includes unlimited funnels and pages, email for 10K contacts, three courses and a store. It is poor value if all you need is a landing page to collect leads, because you pay for apps you will not use. It also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can test it.
How much does ClickFunnels cost compared with Leadpages?
It depends on which Leadpages number is real. ClickFunnels Launch is $97 a month ($81 billed annually). Leadpages Grow is $50 a month ($40 billed annually) on its pricing card, but $99 a month in the same page's FAQ. Higher up, ClickFunnels Scale is $197 against Leadpages Optimize at $100 on the card ($199 in the FAQ), and ClickFunnels Optimize is $297. Leadpages no longer shows a Scale card. At the FAQ prices the gap is what each plan includes, not the sticker price.
Which is better for a small business, Leadpages or ClickFunnels?
It depends on the job. A plumber, lawyer, agency or consultant who needs a landing page, a form and a way to test headlines fits Leadpages, without an email platform and course builder they will not use. A small business that sells online products, courses or coaching with upsells fits ClickFunnels.
Funnels vs landing pages: what is the difference?
A landing page is one page with one goal, such as a form submission. A funnel is a sequence of pages, such as an opt-in page, a sales page, an order form, an upsell and a thank-you page. ClickFunnels is built around the sequence. Leadpages is built around the page, though you can chain pages together.
Is ClickFunnels just a landing page builder?
No. It builds landing pages, but it also includes order forms, one-click upsells, email, courses, stores, automations and payments. Its pricing page lists unlimited funnels, pages and visitors on every plan.
Does Leadpages have funnels?
Leadpages builds landing pages, popups, alert bars and multi-page sites. Its features page does not list funnels, upsells, order bumps or courses as named features, so for a funnel with upsells ClickFunnels is the better fit.
Does ClickFunnels take a cut of my sales?
No. Its pricing FAQ says it keeps no percentage of your sales. Payment processor fees still apply: its help center lists Payments AI at 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction, plus a 0.5% fee for billing, tax and invoicing, and says ClickFunnels adds no fees beyond processor rates.
Do Leadpages and ClickFunnels both have A/B testing?
Yes. Leadpages includes manual A/B testing on Grow. Optimize adds multivariate testing, Smart Traffic (AI routing) and click and scroll heatmaps. ClickFunnels supports split tests on funnel steps and in email workflows, but its pricing page does not say which plans include them, so check before buying.
Do either of them have a free trial?
Leadpages gives a 7-day trial with full access, and a card is required. ClickFunnels offers a free trial (its page markup describes 14 days, though the visible FAQ does not state a length) and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What is a cheaper alternative to both?
Landingi starts at $24 a month billed annually, for landing pages only. If you want a landing page builder with real paid-traffic tools, see our Leadpages vs Unbounce comparison.
How we compared
We compared both products using each vendor's own pages and documentation: the Leadpages pricing and features pages and our Leadpages review, and the ClickFunnels pricing and features pages and its help center articles on payments and split testing. Prices were checked on November 8, 2026. The Leadpages pricing page shows two sets of numbers. Its plan cards show $50 for Grow and $100 for Optimize ($40 and $80 billed annually) and no Scale card, while its FAQ says testing plans start at $99 a month and lists $99, $199 and $399 for Grow, Optimize and Scale. The page does not say which set is the recurring price, so we show both. Confirm the recurring price at checkout. We read the Leadpages pricing page in a browser on November 8, 2026, including that Optimize adds Smart Traffic (AI routing) and click and scroll heatmaps. ClickFunnels shows a stated annual saving that is a few dollars off its own monthly-versus-annual difference, and its pricing page does not say which plans include A/B testing. We did not build a funnel in either tool, and we could not read Reddit threads from our tools, so this page has no section on Reddit opinion. Third-party review sites were used only for context, and none of their numbers appear in the table.
